Think Turtle!

Writer: Kell ClarkKell Clark

Here's one of my turtle jewelry hangings made from recycled earrings and necklace beads that went to a turtle loving home last weekend! Support local and support earth-conscious efforts!

While I was vending at the Bancroft Market last weekend (October 12th) I ran into a lovely lady also named Kelly from the Turtle Conservation initiative. We connected over the imortance on reusing materials we already have around so that we dont further contribute to our overflowing landfills and trash piles. While all of that big picture thinking is more than important, it's equally important to research the earth-concious initiatives that are happening in your own town!

Here in Bancroft, Kelly introduced our Kelly to their artist support program benefiting the concerservation efforts in Ontario. Few volunteer artist donated little crotchet plushies and various crafts sold in a range of prices that dirrectly support the network. Their booth serves as both informative and a way to support the rehabilitation and continued protection for the turtle population of Ontario.

While Papa's market season may be done, Think Turtle Conservation Initiatives art booths will be at a few more markets around Bancroft/Maynooth/Haliburton region!
